Datatool S4 Red Diagnostic Plug with Torx T8

The Datatool S4 Red Diagnostic Plug with Torx will bypass the alarm allowing you to diagnose if it is causing you an issue.  This could be things such as parasitic battery drain or if the alarm / immobiliser unit is becoming erratic with age.  If the motorcycle starts & runs but cuts out when a gear is selected, this means the fault is with the bike itself rather than the alarm / immobiliser.

The alarm / immobiliser unit is fed from a loom that contains a connector block, the diagnostic aid needs to be inserted into the connector inside that box.  You will need to use the supplied TORX T8 Security screwdriver to remove the lid on this box.   Please check for the presence of this connector and also its shape and number of pins before ordering your plugpal diagnostic aid.

Also included with this plug is a rubber grommet to fill the hole in the connection box now that the alarm loom has been removed.

This plug is purely for the Datatool Red system and is not suitable for the Green or Yellow systems.  If you have a Datatool S4 Green and believe it to be faulty, you can just unplug it and it will not stop the motorcycle from starting.

As with all plugpal products, this diagnostic plug is assembled using quality components, the connections being crimped, not soldered (due to the risk of stress fracturing of connections in environments with large amounts of vibration, such as automotive applications) and waterproofed using adhesive impregnated heatshrink.  The design of the TORX T8 Security screwdriver is subject to change.
