Two Wiring Options
The plugpal Classic Car Brake Light Switch Relay offers two ways to provide power to the relay.
Option 1 – Use the existing switch supply
The relay can use the 12V supply already connected to the brake light switch. The supplied Lucas bullet double connector and jumper wire divert this supply to the relay.
This option keeps the installation simple and avoids running a separate power cable to the relay.
Option 2 – Use a dedicated 12V supply
Alternatively, you can provide the relay with its own 12V supply. The supplied extension lead makes it easy to connect the relay directly to a suitable power source.
The kit also includes a single Lucas bullet connector. This connects the relay output to the existing vehicle wiring that supplies the brake lights.

This relay suits brake light switches activated directly by the brake pedal. It uses 4.7mm Lucas bullet connectors for connection to the vehicle wiring.
It is suitable for switches such as the BHA4675 and similar classic car brake light switches.
Please check your existing brake light switch before ordering. This product is designed for a brake pedal-operated switch with Lucas bullet connections.
